Well done to our sites for the terrific effort they have put into the AIM Trial locally.  With 495 participants recruited by end August, only 30 remaining to hit target.

June 2013: Last 7 months of recruitment period - 2013-06-12 10:51:38

The study has a further 7 months of recruitment to go (June-end Dec 2013).  Recruitment is going very well however keeping on track for these last months will be vital to ensure overall target is met.  Each site continues to entrol all eligible recruits, and one per month per site will see the study meet target on time.

The AIM, DRAFFT and WOLLF trials held a joint meeting on Thursday 27th September 2012.  Over 70 surgeons, research nurses and physiotherapists attended!

Royal Victoria Infirmary Newcastle recruited the 400th patient (of our 620 target) on 23rd October 2012.

First AIM Trial Collaborators Meeting takes place! - 2011-05-31 15:55:23

On 26th May 2011 the first AIM Trial Collaborators Meeting took place.  Over 40 people attended, with a representative from all but one of our 15 sites joining us for the day.  Watch out for our next Newsletter for further details (see our 'Presentation' section on the left hand side of this page for copies of the presentations from the day).

Recruitment of first non-Oxford patient! - 2010-10-22 19:52:33

Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading recruited the first patient from a collaborating site outside of the John Radcliffe Hospital for the AIM trial yesterday!   Having 'gone live' less than 2 weeks ago, well done to all!
